INFINITI Unleashes 1,000-HP QX80 R-Spec at the 2025 SEMA Show

INFINITI is redefining what a flagship luxury SUV can be with the debut of the QX80 R-Spec: a bold, track-inspired build that transforms the all-new QX80 into a 1,000-horsepower performance machine. Having made its public debut at the 2025 SEMA Show, the R-Spec pushes far beyond the already impressive QX80 Track Spec concept revealed earlier this year.

At the heart of the R-Spec is a heavily modified version of the Nissan GT-R’s legendary 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6, enhanced with custom turbochargers, intercoolers, exhaust manifolds, and an upgraded fuel system to unleash four-figure horsepower. The choice of GT-R power pays tribute to the QX80’s own twin-turbo V6, which shares engineering DNA with the iconic supercar.

To harness that power, the R-Spec features GT-R carbon-ceramic brakes, a custom coilover suspension, and massive 24-inch bronze wheels inspired by GT-R design. Wrapped in 315-width tires, the SUV delivers exceptional grip to match its extreme performance goals.

Visually, the QX80 R-Spec turns heads with a widened, lowered stance and GT-R T-Spec Takumi Edition–inspired bodywork. A color-shifting wrap, paying homage to the Midnight Purple shades beloved by GT-R fans, sets the tone, complemented by unique diffusers, fog lights, badges, and exhaust finishers.
