Something extraordinary is unfolding

At INFINITI, design is more than just a process, it’s a philosophy. It’s a journey of artistry and innovation, evolving with every new challenge and every emerging technology. Now, INFINITI is stepping boldly into the future by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into its creative process, forging a powerful partnership between cutting-edge technology and timeless human craftsmanship.
For INFINITI’s digital sculptor Kenji Yamauchi and the entire design team, AI isn’t a replacement for traditional methods, it’s a tool that amplifies creativity. While clay modeling and hand-drawn sketches still form the backbone of the design process, AI opens the door to exploring new ideas at a speed and scale never before possible.
“The biggest change with the integration of AI into our design process is the number of possibilities we can study,” Yamauchi explains. “In clay, we can only produce one model at a time. With generative AI, we can explore multiple ideas at once, compare them side by side, and make more informed decisions.”
AI-enhanced sketches provide a deeper layer of inspiration, generating new interpretations and directions that expand the creative palette. But the process remains intentional. “Design is a form of artistry,” Yamauchi says. “There’s no end to the pursuit of beauty and perfection.”
Despite the capabilities of AI, INFINITI is committed to keeping the final creative decisions in human hands. “AI can do a lot,” Yamauchi notes, “but it’s not a magic solution. Sometimes it gets things wrong. That’s where human experience, instinct, and oversight are critical.” For Yamauchi, nothing replaces the tactile precision of clay. “Touch, feel, and spatial modeling can only be realized through physical shaping. That’s where the soul of the design emerges.”
AI is also transforming how INFINITI’s design teams collaborate. From ideation to modeling to feedback, workflows have become more dynamic and fluid. “AI brings us closer together as a team,” says Yamauchi. “It allows me to contribute across more areas of the design process, and that broader collaboration leads to better results.”
With each team member bringing specialized expertise, AI acts as a common thread—enhancing creativity without compromising individuality. “It’s not about replacing roles,” Yamauchi emphasizes. “It’s about making every contribution more impactful.”
With every curve, line, and detail, INFINITI continues to embody Artistry in Motion — creating vehicles that move people not just physically, but emotionally. As AI becomes a trusted partner in the studio, the future of automotive luxury has never looked more inspired.
The All-New 2025 INFINITI QX80 Redefines Luxury with Bold Design and Thoughtful Innovation

INFINITI is ushering in a new era of design and craftsmanship with the debut of the all-new 2025 INFINITI QX80 – the flagship SUV that brings the brand’s evolved design language, Artistry in Motion, to life for the first time in a production model. The new QX80 delivers a commanding presence through clean lines, strong proportions, and a confident stance. The sleek, anti-wedge profile, with a long, nearly flat hood and crisp shoulder lines, evokes a sense of elegant motion, or sho, that belies its size.
“The all-new QX80 is the first production model to be born under our evolved design language,” shared Alfonso Albaisa, Senior Vice President for Global Design. “On the outside, it stays true to the provocative vision of the QX Monograph, while the interior seamlessly integrates advanced technology and exquisite materials for a three-row experience that feels truly extraordinary.”
Up front, the QX80 wears the latest interpretation of the signature INFINITI double-arch grille, inspired by the flowing forms of a bamboo forest. The illuminated emblem adds a sophisticated, three-dimensional presence, framed by narrow, multi-element LED daytime running lights that echo the grille’s organic design language. Discreet air curtain vents and sculpted corners contribute to both aerodynamics and modern appeal.
Along the sides, flush door handles provide a clean silhouette and automatically extend when the vehicle is unlocked. Two flowing character lines add movement to the design, while blacked-out pillars create a floating roof effect. In the rear, a full-width LED light bar with over 300 smoked-finish LEDs draws the eye, its curved profile inspired by shimmering reflections on still water.
Luxury begins the moment you approach. The new QX80 offers a welcoming light show that reflects the Japanese principle of thoughtful hospitality. With the key fob in hand, door handles present themselves, followed by an orchestrated illumination of the emblem, daytime running lights, and finally, the INFINITI Light Path—a ground projection of the INFINITI wordmark flanked by wing-like shapes.
Step inside and you’re surrounded by Japanese-inspired design rooted in miyabi, a principle of elegance and refinement. The interior fuses soft-touch surfaces, layered materials, rich leathers, natural wood trims, suede, and laser-cut metal with high-end technology in a harmonious and visually stunning way.
A standard panoramic moonroof floods the cabin with natural light, while two 14.3-inch displays create a tech-forward cockpit. The driver display offers three customizable themes—Classic, Elegant, and Enhanced—navigated by an ergonomic jog wheel or touch gestures. Also new is an available color head-up display, helping drivers keep their focus on the road while accessing essential info.
The central infotainment display runs Google built-in, offering seamless access to Google Maps, Assistant, and the Google Play Store. A second, dedicated 9-inch touchscreen beneath it controls climate settings and seat comfort, using haptic feedback for tactile assurance.
Streamlined push-button transmission controls free up center console space, while strategically placed USB-C ports in every row and an available wireless charging pad keep devices powered and ready. An available cool box in the center console adds practical luxury—perfect for road trip refreshments.
Lighting enhances the ambiance with 64-color Personalized Ambient Lighting, featuring illuminated accents across the dashboard and doors, along with an illuminated INFINITI emblem for added elegance.
With the 2025 QX80, INFINITI has blended cutting-edge innovation with artistic heritage, crafting an SUV that delivers sophisticated presence, intuitive technology, and indulgent comfort across all three rows. It’s a bold step forward in design — one that moves you emotionally and physically.

Nissan Motor Acceptance Company (NMAC) and INFINITI Financial Services (IFS) have announced the expansion of their SignatureFLEX lease program, now available to drivers with legacy leases maturing on or after February 1, 2025. This enhancement allows eligible lessees to purchase additional miles up to 30 days before their lease ends, offering greater flexibility and convenience.
As driving patterns continue to evolve, 10,000-mile leases have become the most popular option, surpassing the traditional 12,000-mile choice among Nissan and INFINITI customers. Demand for ultra-low 5,000-mile leases has also surged, doubling over the past two years. The growing need for customizable lease options underscores the importance of programs like SignatureFLEX, which help customers manage their mileage while avoiding unexpected costs.
“SignatureFLEX is an innovative lease program that puts customers first by offering them the flexibility to manage mileage needs while avoiding lease-end overage penalties,” said Jim DeTrude, vice president of NMAC Sales & Marketing. “By including legacy leases in the program, we’re enabling a more customized lease experience to better fit their lifestyles while reducing unexpected costs.”
Since its launch in October 2022, SignatureFLEX has been a game-changer, with customers purchasing over 30 million additional miles and saving $4.5 million in overage fees. The expansion to legacy leases builds on this success, providing even more savings as additional miles are priced at just $0.10 per mile, significantly lower than lease-end overage penalties that can reach $0.25 per mile.
Lessees can purchase additional miles through the NMAC and IFS web portals or mobile apps, with no daily maximum purchase limit, allowing them to buy as many miles as needed in a single transaction. Beginning in 2025, vehicles equipped with compatible connected car technology will further enhance the experience, enabling in-vehicle mileage purchases and providing drivers with automatic, personalized notifications about their lease mileage.
With this expansion, Nissan and INFINITI continue to redefine lease flexibility, ensuring customers have greater control over their driving experience while minimizing unexpected costs.

INFINITI’s dedication to safety, advanced technology, and luxury craftsmanship shines as the 2025 QX80 and 2024-2025 QX60 secure coveted TOP SAFETY PICK ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for 2024.
The INFINITI QX60 continues its streak of excellence, earning the prestigious TOP SAFETY PICK+ designation for the third consecutive year. Praised for its crashworthiness, pedestrian front crash prevention, and superior headlight performance, the QX60 combines advanced safety features with elegant design and spacious three-row seating. Standard safety systems include Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Automatic Braking, Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert—making it a top choice for families and luxury SUV buyers.
The all-new 2025 QX80 joins the ranks with a TOP SAFETY PICK rating, thanks to its robust structural integrity and advanced safety technology. Key features such as Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Intervention®, and the Smart Rearview Mirror enhance driver confidence. Additionally, the available ProPILOT Assist 2.1 system delivers smoother, more intuitive freeway driving.
Research highlights safety as a critical factor for car buyers, especially families and luxury SUV shoppers. Advanced safety features rank among the top priorities for new vehicle purchases, according to J.D. Power, while McKinsey & Company notes that luxury consumers expect cutting-edge driver-assistance systems as standard. Recognition from IIHS helps buyers make informed decisions with confidence.
“INFINITI’s best-selling QX60 and flagship QX80 exemplify the perfect balance of safety, luxury, and performance,” said Craig Keeys, group vice president, INFINITI Americas. “These models reflect our unwavering commitment to client safety and satisfaction, playing a vital role in our ongoing product renaissance.”
To earn the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating, vehicles must excel in crash testing, offer headlights rated “Good” or “Acceptable” across all trims, and include effective pedestrian front crash prevention systems. The QX60 and QX80’s achievements reinforce INFINITI’s leadership in delivering exceptional safety and innovation in the luxury SUV segment.

For the second year in a row, the INFINITI QX60 has been recognized as the Best in Class for the Large Luxury SUV segment in the 2025 Vincentric Lowest Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Cost to Own in America Awards. This prestigious accolade highlights INFINITI’s dedication to providing luxury, reliability, and exceptional value to its customers.
The QX60 remains INFINITI’s top-selling CPO model, accounting for 30% of the brand’s total CPO sales. With its bold design, cutting-edge technology, and finely crafted interior, the QX60 continues to be a favorite among luxury SUV buyers.
As the demand for pre-owned vehicles remains strong, INFINITI’s Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program offers a reliable choice for those looking to experience the INFINITI Total Ownership Experience®. The program includes rigorous vehicle inspections, confidence-inspiring warranties, and 24/7 roadside assistance to provide peace of mind for new owners.
“We are proud that the QX60 has once again earned recognition from Vincentric,” said Bob Welby, Senior Director, Operations, INFINITI USA. “This award reinforces our commitment to delivering luxury vehicles that offer lasting quality, reliability, and excellent value.”
The Vincentric Best Certified Pre-Owned Value in America Awards are determined by analyzing ownership costs across all trim levels of a model over five years and 15,000 miles per year. Factors like depreciation, insurance, repairs, maintenance, financing, fuel, taxes, and fees are considered to calculate the total cost of ownership.
The QX60’s low cost of ownership is a direct result of its superior engineering and INFINITI’s focus on delivering lasting quality. Moreover, the introduction of INFINITI Premium Care – which offers complimentary maintenance for the first three years of ownership on select new vehicles – can sometimes extend to CPO models, enhancing the ownership experience even further.
To offer more flexibility, INFINITI is now offering a CPO lease option for the QX60, making it even easier for luxury SUV buyers to experience the brand’s renowned performance and comfort. Click here to shop our current QX60 inventory today.

Few individuals have influenced automotive performance and design as profoundly as Hiroyoshi Kato, a master driver at Nissan Motor Corporation since 1976. With a career spanning nearly five decades, Kato’s expertise has been pivotal in shaping the driving dynamics of countless Nissan and INFINITI vehicles, including the groundbreaking INFINITI G35.
Kato’s first experience with the G35 during its development phase marked the beginning of a vehicle destined to redefine luxury performance. The G35 coupe’s innovative Front Midship (FM) Platform was inspired by Nissan’s motorsport success, particularly in Le Mans and Group C racing. By positioning the 3.5-liter DOHC V6 engine just behind the front axle, engineers achieved a 52:48 front-to-rear weight distribution—balancing stability with nimble handling while leaving room for its iconic design with wheels pushed to the corners.
As Kato recalls, the team benchmarked the BMW 3 Series but sought to create a uniquely “nimble and explosive” driving feel, emphasizing quick steering response, aggressive acceleration, and impressive line-traceability. Although some questioned whether the G35’s sharp steering was too bold for luxury buyers, glowing media reviews and customer enthusiasm quickly validated their daring approach.
The G35 was manufactured at Nissan’s Tochigi facility, adjacent to a proving ground where Kato spent countless hours fine-tuning its performance. On average, he logged 100 laps daily, testing the G35 and competitor vehicles under diverse conditions. Weekly, this amounted to nearly 2,000 miles, equivalent to driving three times the length of Japan’s Honshu island, all at speeds up to 200 kph.
Later in the G35’s lifecycle, INFINITI introduced a rear active steer system, a pioneering feature at the time. Kato and his team meticulously calibrated the system to enhance handling without compromising the driver’s connection to the car. For Kato, the challenge lay in ensuring the system felt natural and engaging, placing human feedback at the forefront of innovation.
Celebrating 35 Years of INFINITI
As INFINITI celebrates its 35th anniversary on November 8, 2024, the G35’s story is a testament to the brand’s enduring commitment to innovation and daring design. Guided by three core values—Human, Daring, Forward—INFINITI continues to challenge the conventions of automotive luxury.
This legacy lives on with the launch of the all-new INFINITI QX80, ushering in a new era of bold, driver-focused vehicles that honor the brand’s storied past while shaping its future.
