Four New Models to Signal the INFINITI Renaissance

INFINITI has unveiled its ambitious plans for a comprehensive product refresh, announcing the imminent launch of four new models that signify a significant product renaissance. With a commitment to electrify the majority of its global lineup by 2030, INFINITI has introduced an all-electric fastback sedan concept, the Vision Qe, and provided a sneak peek at an advanced all-electric SUV. Additionally, the eagerly awaited next-generation QX80 full-size SUV flagship is set to debut next year, and a new QX65 crossover coupe is in the pipeline.
These new models embody INFINITI’s evolved design language, Artistry in Motion, inspired by Japan. The brand aims to deliver products that seamlessly blend evocative, artistic design with powerful, yet graceful movement. Jose Roman, global head of INFINITI and senior vice president, Global Sales, Nissan Motor Co., expressed the significance of this moment, stating, “Today is a pivotal moment for INFINITI as we announce four stunning new models are on the way. These additions will reinvigorate INFINITI and pave the way to achieving our long-term plan: Ambition 2030.”
Under the overarching design language of Artistry in Motion, these future INFINITI models promise clean yet sculptured exteriors, seamless intersections of lighting and panels, and welcoming interiors that integrate technology and rich materials with artistic precision.
The INFINITI Vision Qe concept, unveiled at the New Dawn event in Tokyo, provides a glimpse into the design of INFINITI’s first all-electric model. This sleek fastback sedan features a low and wide profile, complemented by full-width “digital piano key” lighting and striking machine-finished wheels. The first INFINITI EV will be assembled in Canton, Mississippi.
Accompanying this, the Vision QXe concept offers a preview of an all-new, all-electric SUV. Combining the practicality of a crossover body style with INFINITI’s latest design form and advanced technologies, it presents an exciting vision for the future.
The next-generation QX80 SUV flagship, slated to arrive next year, follows the confident, athletic stance showcased in the QX Monograph concept unveiled at the 2023 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The production QX80 will maintain a powerful profile and minimalist exterior, coupled with a lavish cabin that integrates opulent materials and cutting-edge technology for unparalleled comfort across all three rows.
Adding to this lineup is the all-new QX65, a mid-size INFINITI crossover coupe, drawing inspiration from the groundbreaking INFINITI FX. This promises to be a stylish two-row alternative in the competitive mid-size crossover segment.
INFINITI’s renaissance aims to inspire owners with a human-centric and holistic luxury experience that goes beyond the car itself. These four new models are set to rejuvenate the lineup, offering convention-challenging alternatives within key segments.

INFINITI Named a Top Luxury Brand

Earlier this month, the 2023 Automotive Reputation Report put INFINITI at the number one spot among U.S. luxury brands. With INFINITI remaining focused on their mission to elevate the client experience, it comes as no surprise to us that the brand would catch the attention of Reputation’s report. While INFINITI earned the top rank with a Reputation Score of 743, INFINITI also holds the highest visibility and engagement score of the U.S Luxury Brand category at 74 and 89 points, respectively.
“We are honored to be recognized by Reputation for our commitment to the client experience,” said Craig Keeys, group vice president, INFINITI Americas. “At INFINITI, our mission of providing an experience that’s about more than just the car has always been core to who we are. We look at every part of the journey to ensure we’re ahead of the curve for the future of luxury and our honored guests.”
The 2023 Automotive Reputation Report is one of the most comprehensive rankings in the market, and includes three categories of criteria: sentiment, visibility, engagement. As consumer feedback continues to drive success in the auto industry, these factors had a significant impact on INFINITI’s score: customer service, staff, sales, competence, speed.

The QX Monograph Concept has Made its Debut

The well-awaited refresh to the iconic INFINITI QX80 has finally made its debut. Say hello to the all-new QX Monograph – inspired by INFINITI’s Japanese heritage with an emphasis on artistry. The QX Monograph is a perfect example of INFINITI’s evolution, characterized by a confident, athletic stance with graceful proportions.
New signature elements include an illuminated three-dimensional emblem at the front that gives the new INFINITI logo a front and center debut, the double-arched radiator grille inspired by the grandeur of a bamboo forest, and a new “digital piano key” lighting that grabs your attention. A powerful, sleek profile with a minimalist exterior can be found with a spacious interior.
The paint color is a striking new hue named “Akane” – inspired by the powerful and serene moment of a sunset. A complex, six-layer structure to capture the proper appearance of a warm glow into a dark sky transition. The QX Monograph’s prominent double-arched radiator grille bring upright lines within a mesh inner channel to create the flow of a bamboo forest. Finished in gloss black to complement the dark chrome, the grille gives a powerful driving experience.
The unique lighting system that separates the main headlight assembly and daytime running lights results in a sense of the extraordinary – “Kabuku” – paired with the intricate “digital piano keys” at the top of the grille. Beneath the “digital piano keys” lies the illuminated new INFINITI branded logo as a visual focal point to boldly announce the vehicle’s arrival.
The rear of the QX Monograph makes just as power of an exit. The tail lights run the width of the body, while the lamps feature a smoked finish that illuminated a vibrant shade of red once switched on. Inner housing channels the reflection of light on water, giving a memorable signature. The front and rear lighting delivers both “welcome” and “farewell” animation sequences that artfully create a sense of motion. At the front, the animation commences within the newly crafted three-dimensional INFINITI emblem within the grille and moves outward, highlighting the bamboo-inspired mesh of the radiator grille.
Large, precision machine-finished wheels with bold red highlights and gloss black and shadow chrome spokes compliment the powerful stance of the QX Monograph. The roof is adorned with a large “Kimono fold” pattern motif. Finished in “Akane,” the geometric pattern punctuates the gloss black finish, showcasing the profile of a large panoramic roof.

INFINITI Refresh Marks a New Era
Last month, INFINITI announced a refresh to their branding – enhancing customer connection and delivering a new hospitality experience across all touch points. This new look draws inspiration from the brand’s heritage and well-known belief that personal experiences are worth more than the vehicle. With this new refresh comes a new retail design, visual identity, and multisensory experience that brings next-level customer connection.
“The evolved look and feel uplifts INFINITI’s signature Total Ownership Experience and sets the scene for a bright new era,” said Asako Hoshino, executive vice president, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. “We believe true luxury is simple, personal and memorable. These updates are targeted at delivering a deeper connection with our valued customers.”
The new INFINITI retail architecture blends a clean, minimalist exterior with an open, light-filled interior. These retail spaces will allow valued customers the opportunity to connect and interact, bringing life to INFINITI’s signature Total Ownership Experience. The architecture pulls from Japanese design philosophies, providing a truly immersive experience by embodying the concept of “Ma,” which considers the space between things. This embraces empty space in an additive capacity, giving balance between every element.
New branding, including an updated logo, helps to place greater emphasis on the “infinite road” and horizon line. This new three-dimensional INFINITI emblem will adorn future production vehicles, with illumination that elevated the bright road to the horizon.
“Our aim was to subtly evolve the INFINITI logo in support of the bright new chapter that lays ahead,” said Alfonso Albaisa, senior vice president of global design. “Adding greater emphasis to the point where the infinite road intersects with the horizon, we are showcasing our steadfast commitment to always look forward to the future and to new horizons.”
In addition to visual elements, INFINITI has created a new multisensory experience that includes scent and sonic elements. With scent having the ability to transport the mind to a memory or a place, guests will now experience a new signature scent that delivers a subtle feeling of inspiration. This new scent is invigorating, calming and evokes a forest with hints of hinoki wood (Japanese cypress), sugi (Japanese cedar) and yuzu (Japanese citrus). The new brand master track “Moment of Tranquility” serves as the building block for a new sound (or sonic) logo, as well as for use at future consumer activations and other promotional materials. The signature sound acts as an aural connection, giving consumers another way to recognize, remember and interact with INFINITI.
Visitors to INFINITI’s digital channels can see the brand’s evolved visual identity now, and guests to select retail locations within the U.S., Mexico and Middle East can experience the new retail design from this month onwards.
INFINITI Introduces a New Global Head

This month, INFINITI announced their new appointment of Jose Roman as the new Global Head of the brand. Beginning his role in July, Roman will serve as senior vice president (SVP) of Global Sales Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. A native of Ecuador, Roman is currently corporate vice president (CVP), president and managing director (MD), Nissan Mexicana (NMEX) & Nissan Importers Business Unit (NIBU). After joining Nissan in 2012, Roman brings more than 25 years of automotive industry experience while working in Mexican, Colombian, Brazilian, and Japanese markets.
In his most recent position, Roman was key in consolidating the brand’s sales leadership in Mexico, as well as leading a successful implementation of Nissan’s global transformation plan. Nissan reached its 15th consecutive year in the top market position in Mexico while under Roman’s tenure, with the complete renewal of its product portfolio and the introduction of Nissan’s innovative e-POWER technology to the region.
“Jose’s human-centric leadership style, paired with a wealth of experience gained across diverse markets, will be invaluable for INFINITI to move to the next bright chapter,” said Asako Hoshino, executive vice president (EVP) Nissan Motor Co., Ltd, based in Yokohama, Japan.
Roman is passionate when it comes to employee health and welfare, as well as talent growth within the company. Nissan Mexico was recently recognized as the number one automotive company in Environmental, Social and Governance, by MERCO; “Top Companies 2023” for the third year in a row and “Top Companies 2022” for Women; “Best Places to Work” by HRC Equidad MX.
